The people of Crusheen and surrounding North Clare areas are being urged to continue their fight for a rail stop, as public services on the new Western Rail Corridor commence this morning.
Members of the Crusheen Rail Stop Campaign weren’t given any definite time frame for their much sought after connection to the new Limerick to Galway line as it was launched yesterday though the transport Minister and Iarnrod Eireann have said it will happen.
The new Minister for Social Protection Eamon O’Cuiv had been involved in negotiations between Irish Rail, Clare County Council and local interests in his former role in the department of Community and Gaeltacht Affairs.
