Cso figures show Midwest family income second lowest in Ireland

New figures from the CSO show that the average household income in the MidWest is the second lowest of any region in Ireland.

The Central Statistics Office this week  published it’s survey on income and living conditions for 2010, and found that the average household income here was just under 38,000 euro that year.

However, it had fallen by almost 1,000 euro on the previous year.

Figures also show that almost 10 per cent of people had a net disposable income of less than 180 euro per week.
