A Killaloe-based representative of Safe Ireland insists the level of funding allocated to tackling domestic, sexual and gender violence goes “nowhere near” what’s needed.
Last week, the Children’s Minister allocated an additional €1.5 million to 16 frontline services around the country, which includes around €40,000 for Rape Crisis Midwest.
But Caitríona Gleeson has said that’s just a drop in the ocean in terms of what’s needed.
