A West Clare Garda is using his own experience of childhood abuse to create a new app to safeguard children online.
Kilrush-based Robin Grace was in his 20s before he had his first flashback of abuse suffered at the hands of his childminder when he was a toddler.
After then struggling with mental health problems, he has turned this around and is now fundraising to develop the ‘ME App’, which aims to support young people online by helping them connect with people that care in a time of need.

Garda Grace says having someone to listen makes all the difference in the world.
The ME App is being funded by a Kickstarter campaign which will remain open until January 17th.
