A prominent West Clare psychiatrist insists colleges need an injection of funding to allow them to support the mental health of their student population.
A report this week has revealed a worryingly high level of anxiety, depression and stress among Ireland’s student population, with those under financial strain the worst hit.
The first-of-its-kind study was carried out by the Union of Students in Ireland and has also found that students need better access to mental health services on campus.
