Speed limits in parts of Ennis are set to be cut, as part of a plan to boost cycling facilities in the town.
€650,000 is to be invested in the construction of nearly 10km of new cycle lanes connecting Clarecastle to Ballymaley and the Tulla and Quin Roads, as well as signage and parking spots.

Construction will begin in June, and take 18 months.
It's also envisaged that the investment will see the creation of three new town cycling zones, where a speed limit of 30 km/h are to be imposed.
