Around 50 cyclists from throughout Clare are taking to the county’s roads this weekend as part of the Clare 250 Mile Cycle.
First held in 1980, the event raises funds for the Clare 250 Lourdes Pilgrimage and the completion of the Cancer Centre in Ballygriffey.
Today, the cyclists are travelling on a route which takes in much of East Clare and finishes in Lissycasey, whle tomorrow they will travel through West and North Clare before finishing in Ennis tomorrow night.
