The government’s been reminded time’s running out to get its application in for EU funding in the wake of the devastating floods in Clare and elsewhere last November.
In December the EU Commissioner Pavel Samecki confirmed Ireland could seek financial support from the Solidarity Fund and the deadline to get the paperwork in is this Wednesday
Clare Fine Gael TD Pat Breen is urging the government to ensure its application is in by tomorrow deadline and that the state will qualify for the high threshold point for funding.
