The Parish Priest of Quin has passed away following an illness.

Fr. Michael Collins died at the Mater Hospital in Dublin overnight at the age of 69.
A native of Ennis. Fr. Michael was a priest of the Diocese of Killaloe for 32 years, having studied with the Columban Missionaries and taught as a teacher at the Ennis Boys National School prior to his ordination in 1983.
He served in the parish of Roscrea before becoming Parish Priest of Quin, Clooney and Maghera in 2005.
He'll be laid to rest in the Church Grounds in Quin on Sunday.
