A decision on the future of the LEADER programme in Clare will be made in the coming months.
The new programme, which will run until 2020, will be launched after one of two local development strategies is chosen by a national independent evaluation committee.

The Environment Department has now given the Clare Local Development Company the go-ahead to proceed with developing a potential plan but it faces competition from the local authority's Local Community Development Committee.
