Clare County Council is again stepping up its efforts to help the thousands of householders affected by the ongoing sub zero conditions.
A dedicated water helpline for residents whose pipes have frozen has been established and can be accessed from 8 am until 8 pm.
Hundreds of home particularly in Ennis and Shannon were hit overnight as temperatures plummeted to minus ten and similar conditions are expected tonight.
The dedicated helpline is 087 6377 770 and that is operational from 8 am until 8 pm.
THE EMERGENCY LINE WILL CONTINUE TOO, HOWEVER THE LOCAL AUTHORTIY SAYS IT MUST BE KEPT FREE FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY AND ALL WATER RELEATED QUERIES SHOULD BE TO THE ABOVE NUMBER
On top of that the local authority is setting up a series of static pipes or public taps to provide householders with access to running water.
They will be in place instead of water tankers tomorrow.
