A Ballyvaughan man charged over the murder of Deirdre McCarthy is due back before the courts today.

39 year old Colm Deely of School Road has been in custody since appearing before Ennis District Court last Thursday where he was formally charged with murdering the 43 year old at a place unknown in County Clare or or about March 28th.
The body of Deirdre McCarthy was discovered at Fanore Strand on the 31st of March- three days after she was reported missing from her home.
Colm Deely will appear before Ennistymon District Court which is sitting in Kilrush today, where its expected he will be further remanded in custody.
