Clare’s farmers have been dealt another huge blow after it was confirmed the District Veterinary Office for the county is to close.
It’s all part of a restructuring move by the Agriculture Department which will se 42 offices nationwide close in a move aimed at saving 30 million euro and shedding 400 jobs.

However opposition TD’s claim the move to close the Ennis office will actually waste money as the premises are owned by the Department unlike Raheen which is rented.
Farming Group too are outrage by what they see as another attack on a sector already under siege by government.
