The Department of Foreign Affairs says its working actively on the ground to resolve the case of Co Laois man Joshua Molloy, who was arrested in Iraq on Friday.
The former soldier was detained along with two British nationals in Erbil, it's understood they had been fighting against ISIS.

The acting Minister for Foreign Affairs Charlie Flanagan says he's monitoring the situation closely.
