Ennis train station has been described as an “eye sore” by one former Clare mayor.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat Daly has hit out at the state of a now-derelict site owned by Iarnód Éireann which is adjacent to the entrance of the station.
He’s even suggested a statue of Percy French, who parodied the West Clare rail system in the famous song, ‘Are Ye Right There Michael?’
