Roads across Ennis Town Centre will be closed during the Fleadh, when up to 400,000 people are expected in Ennis.

The times and dates of the closures vary, but O'Connell Street, Abbey Street, Francis Street, the New Road, Harmony Row, Station Road, Bothar na Trocaire and Old Gaol Road will all shut at some point.

Car parks at Abbey Street, Woodquay, Parnell Street, Market Place and Friars Walk will also be subject to restrictions, though a number of temporary car parks will be opened.

Traffic will be directed along the Ennis Inner Ring Road which takes in Clare Road, Mill Road, Tulla Road and Clon Road while full details are available on the Council's website.

Meanwhile, the speed limit on the N85 Western Relief Road will be cut to 60 kilometres per hour.

The restriction will be in place for traffic heading from the Clare Abbey Roundabout to the Claureen roundabout.

It comes into place on the Friday night before the Fleadh, August 12th, and continues until the day after it has finished, Tuesday August 23rd.
