A Belgian court has rejected a bid for early release from notorious child killer Marc Dutroux.
He was jailed for life in 2004 for the kidnap and rape of six young girls between June 1995 and August 1996, four of whom died.

He’d asked to be allowed serve out the rest of his sentence at home under electronic surveillance.
However the court found "no grounds" on which to release him under surveillance, citing the "absence of any prospect that Dutroux" could be reintegrated into society.
