Disappointment has been expressed over the IDA's decision not to purchase Ennis Information Age Park from Shannon Commercial Properties.
Councillor Johnny Flynn had suggested that the group obtain the 32 acre Technology Park on the Gort Road in an effort to attract more jobs to the county

However, in a written response to Clare County Council, the IDA says it is currently satisfied with its assets here and their potential to bring employment here.
Councillor Flynn feels the site is ideal for attracting Foreign Direct Investment.
