The Tánaiste and Justice minister says she has no doubt the Garda Commissioner will put further clarity on the controversy over the OHiggins Commission report.
Frances Fitzgerald says Noirin O'Sullivan will give information about her instructions to her lawyers at the inquiry – if it is legal and feasible to do so.
The continuing controversy over the alleged treatment of Garda whistleblower Sergeant Maurice McCabe has dominated another morning of Dáil business.
The Fianna Fáil leader noted that there had been further extensive leaks in the past 24 hours, which he said were damaging.
And Micheál Martin insisted this controversy wouldn't go away until it was addressed:
The Tánaiste and justice minister started her reply by reading into the record the findings of teh Commission about GS Maurice McCabe.
And she appeared to agree with MM that NOS would have to address this controversy:
