Nearly 3,300 people have left the dole queues of Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary over the past 12 months.
New figures from the CSO have revealed that while 32,900 people continue to claim some form of unemployment benefits in the MidWest, the annual drop of just over 9% is amongst the highest of any area.

Last month saw a fall of 837 in the number of people signing on. Full figures for Clare will be released tomorrow.
