Dooley calls for view of commerical tax proceedure

A Clare Fianna Fail TD has called on the Environment Minister  to review the laws on the taxing of commercial vehicles in order to clear up the confusion about the issue.

John Gormley has written to local authorities, calling on them to tighten a loophole surrounding commercially taxed vehicles.

However the circular has raised concerns among farmers, small businesses and the motor industry, and prompted calls for clarification and flexibility on the use of commercial vehicles.
