Dooley Casts Doubt Over Fast Broadband For Rural Clare

Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD has cast doubt over the time-frame for the delivery of high-speed broadband to thousands of homes and businesses in rural Clare.

That’s despite plans unveiled this week to have delivery to fourteen thousand homes across the county, fast-tracked by private operator Eir.

These premises were previously ear-marked under the National Broadband Plan, for ‘state intervention’.

That’s a status that applies across most of Clare and the time-frame for access to broadband for those areas is still unclear.

Deputy Timmy Dooley is  accusing the Communications Minister of spinning the figures.
