Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD believes that trawling through every road side breath test carried out in the country will prevent Gardaí from getting on with their jobs.
Timmy Dooley is backing the view of his party collegue Jim O’Callaghan, who has said it would be impossible to investigate every fake breath test – effictively advocating a move on approach.
An internal investigation has found that Gardaí wrongly claimed to have checked an extra 1.5 million drivers over a seven year period.
