A Clare TD says he fears that Bus Éireann's announcement of cuts to services is only the start of a forced reduction in services.
Fianna Fáil's Transport Spokesperson Timmy Dooley has been responding to the decision to cut 100 routes predominantly in the east of the country.
The announcement has been met with strong criticism across the board however the company says its not economically sustainable for it to continue the services.
Bus Éireann says it’s losing thousands of euro every day because of poor passenger numbers on the services – and it says the Government must subsidise the routes if they are to be saved.
Deputy Dooley says he foresee's further announcements like these in the near future
