Doolin Coastguard is urging people planning camping and hiking trips in the county to let others know of their plans in advance.
It follows a case where three men were reported missing near the village of Carron, after their car was found parked in the Burren National Park last week.

Gardaí requested assistance from the Irish Coast Guard in carrying out a search and the three Dutch nationals were located camping on top of a hill close to Poulacob.
Mattie Shannon of the Doolin Coast Guard says he's glad everyone was found safe and well but admits it's a strain on time and resources.
