An order has been signed, paving the way for construction of the new Doolin Pier.
Minister of State for Housing and Planning Jan O'Sullivan has signed the foreshore license for the €5 million development, long-sought by rescue groups and ferry operators in the area.

Contracts for construction are expected to be signed shortly, and it's hoped the new pier will be operational by the summer of 2015.
