The HSE has overspent its budget by over 170 million euro to the end of May with the highest deficit at Limerick Regional Hospital.
New figures from the Health Service Executive reveal that Dooradoyle overspent its budget by over 14 million euro alone for the first five months of the year.

Other hospitals that all exceeded their allocations include University Hospital Galway , as well as Tallaght and Saint Vincent’s in Dublin.
The figures which show the scale of the crisis facing the HSE also reveal that waiting lists for children and adults have increased to over 54,700.
The HSE says it now has to freeze all but critical vacancies, in order to deal with the escalating pay costs.
