Concern’s been raised that the pedestrianisation of Ennis’ main shopping thoroughfares won’t go ahead this Christmas.
The town council’s preparing to hold talks with gardaí about the proposal to make both Abbey and O O’Connell streets car-free on Saturday the 18th of December and the following Friday-Christmas Eve.
However some councillors fear it won’t proceed as the local authority has received no formal request for the initiative from local businesses-
