Dozens of Clare School Closed due to Cold Snap

48 schools throughout Clare are to remain closed tomorrow as the Big Freeze continues.

It follows advice from Clare County Council and the Gardai, who asked school boards of management to consider the roads in their areas and the health and safety concerns related to the icy weather before deciding whether to return following the Christmas Holidays.
