The Cabinet will today discuss the first draft of legislation aimed at introducing abortion in limited circumstances.
However, Ministers are not expected to sign off on the proposals at this morning’s meeting.

Yesterday, the Minister for Health rejected claims that up to six doctors would have to assess if a woman is suicidal before granting a medical termination.
James Reilly will outline his proposals to his Cabinet colleagues this morning – however, Fine Gael and Labour are at odds on the issue, and a second draft may be needed.
