A drop in Clare's unemployment figures for the first time in three months is being hailed as a step in the right direction.
154 people left Clare's dole queues in August, with the numbers signing on now just under 8000.

Drops were recorded in all parts of the county, with the biggest of 79 coming in Ennis while there was a fall of 30 in East Clare , 27 in North Clare and 18 in the west of the county.
Killaloe Area Councillor Pat Hayes says more work needs to be done.
