There was an 18% drop in the number of new properties built in Clare last year.
Figures show that there were 814 new residential and commercial buildings were constructed in the county in 2010, down from 992 the year before.
According to figures released by GeoDirectory, 673 of the new buildings were residential in nature, 103 were commercial buildings, and 38 were dual-purpose buildings with both residential and commercial space.

These bring the total number of buildings in Clare to 56,965.
