There's been a slight drop in the level of overcrowding at the region's main hospital despite a rise in trolley numbers nationally.
Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show that 34 people are waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 21 of those in the emergency department.

This is in stark contrast with St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin where 52 patients are waiting on trolleys.
While there's 47 people waiting for beds at Cork University Hospital cork and 43 at Beaumont in Dublin.
