There has been a drop in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital.
The latest INMO figures show there were 20 patients on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 19 of those in the Emergency Department.
It’s still six more than the next busiest facility, on a day when 63 patients have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
