More than €100,000 in funding has been allocated to the Clare Local Sports Partnership under a number of physical activity initiatives.
Around three quarters of the money has been ringfenced for the county’s community sports hub, which provides information, support and advice to facilitate people from disadvantaged areas get involved in sport.
Further grants have been set aside for youth leadership and volunteer training and support programmes.

It’s part of an overall €5.9 million investment package announced by Sport Ireland for a number of initiatives across the country.
