Just over one million euro in Government funding has been announced for an Innovation Centre in Ennistymon.
The old Supervalu building on Parliament Street in the town, which has been vacant for a number of years, will be converted to provide an Enterprise Hub with business broadband, a family resource centre and community amenities.
The announcement comes as part of the government’s one billion euro Rural Regeneration and Development Fund, which aims to breathe new life into Ireland’s smaller towns and villages.

Ennistymon Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway says it will help boost employment as well as local regeneration.
