Nearly 2.5 million euro has been announced for local authority housing in East Clare.
Clare County Council is to be allocated funding for the construction of 10 new homes in the village of Feakle, as part of the rebuilding Ireland plan, which aims to tackle the country's housing shortage.

The funding follows the announcement last year of 10 other new housing units for Sea View Park Quilty and 15 units at Tullyglass Shannon.
Clare's Junior Minister, Pat Breen believes it's a small step towards addressing the housing shortage here.
