€240,000 Granted To Conservation Of Historic Lodge House In Kilrush

Funding of €240,000 has been secured to conserve an historic gate lodge house in Kilrush.

Terret Lodge, which dates back to 1845, is to benefit from the grant, issued through the Historic Towns Iniative, which is jointly run by the government and the Heritage Council.

Along with the €190,000 awarded, Clare County Council is allocating €50,000 for the project, which will see the building converted into a genealogy and exhibition space.
