Almost half a million euro has been announced for childcare providers in Clare.
33 organisations across the county will benefit from grants of between 3,000 and 50,000 euro to provide more new childcare places as well as maintenance and building work or the development of outdoor play areas.
8.4 million euro capital funding has been allocated nationally through the Department of Children and Youth Affairs to over 680 pre-school providers, an increase of 4.4 million on last year’s programme.
