950,000 euro has been allocated to 156 Burren farmers under the area's Farming for Conservation Programme.
Now in its sixth year, the agri-environmental programme provides funding for local farmers to carry out work various works which help maintain and improve the natural landscape.

The Project is implemented by the Department of Agriculture and the Department of of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht in conjunction the Burren Life team.
