Nearly 100 thousand euro in funding has been announced to allow for the development of playgrounds in two North Clare communities.
€50,000 euro has been allocated to provide a synthetic multi-use games area at St Enda’s National School in Lisdoonvarna, while just under that amount will be spent on a soft play area and the refurbishment of the existing tarmac playground at Tubber National School.
Both are getting funding under the latest round of the CLÁR programme, with the announcement for Lisdoonvarna coming after it was successful in getting the support after an appeal.
