The seismic event is thought to be linked to a 3.8 magnitude earthquake which struck the Lleyn peninsula in Wales around 3.20 this morning

The epicentre was 8 kilometres below ground and Reports suggest a tremor was later felt in a number of counties here including Carlow, Wicklow and Kildare.
