An East Clare company set to axe over half its workforce is coming under fire for refusing to attend a Labour Court hearing today.
Finsa Forest Products, based in Scariff, informed staff last month that it plans to shed over 50 jobs as part of restructuring process due to a decline in demand from its clients in the building trade.
It had been attending talks with trade union officials to agree a deal for workers who are to be let go but are now refusing to take part in a Labour Court hearing today.
