Hundreds of EBS staff have downed tools today in protest at the withholding of a 13th month payment which they claim is due from their employer.
Pickets have been set up at several branches in Dublin along with another on William Street in Limerick , while management at its Ennis Branch say it will be business as usual today.

The UNITE trade union says the 13th month payment was paid in full to management last week and it rejects the company’s position that the money amounts to a Christmas bonus.
