Demands will be made for better services for the women of West Clare at an event in Kilrush today.
The event, being held on International Days for the Eradication of Poverty and for Rural Women, is being organised by the West Clare Family Resource Centre, and by the National Women’s Council of Ireland whose Chairperson Ellen O’Malley Dunlop will be among those speaking.
It comes after local women recently worked with a facilitator to highlight their experiences and identify actions that could make their lives better.
