A government Minister has insisted that efforts are being made to deliver a new Emergency Department at University Hospital Limerick as soon as possible.
Last month, during a visit to the hospital, Health Minister Leo Varadkar insisted that the new unit cannot be fast-tracked, and that it remains on schedule to be completed late next year.

He said the process could not be sped up without compromising other parts of the hospital, but today Education Minister and Limerick TD Jan O'Sullivan told Clare FM that's not quite the case.
