Efforts Continue To Find Irish Siblings In Egypt

The Department of Foreign Affairs says diplomats are continuing efforts to locate an Irish family being held in an Egyptian jail.

Officials have yet be given access to the four Halawa siblings from Dublin – who were detained after security forces stormed a mosque in Cairo at the weekend.

Meanwhile, the supreme leader of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood has been arrested on charges of inciting the murder of protesters.
