Efforts to recover the body of a man who’s car plunged into the sea at Kilkee are to resume this morning.
The alarm was raised shortly after 12:30 yesterday morning, when the vehicle was spotted entering the water near Burn’s Cove. It’s understood one man, believed to be a father of two in Limerick, was inside the vehicle at the time.

Naval divers arrived in West Clare yesterday, and along with Coastguard units from Kilkee and Doolin, attempted to recover the man’s remains.
This operation was called off last evening, due to adverse weather conditions, but will resume today. (Note- 9:00)
