The group tasked with assessing the future viability of the Sixmilebridge marts have been given the go ahead to try and negotiate its purchase.
It follows a meeting between the four man committee and locals in the town on Tuesday night where the mart’s potential feasibility was outlined as a potential co-op.
The four man committee of Michael O’Neill, Pat Enright, Stiofán Fitzgerald and Brendan Considine will now enter discussions with current owners Golden Vale
