Eight Clare students have been recognised for excellent Leaving Cert results by Trinity College Dublin.
Pupils from Ennis, Shannon, Ennistymon, Killaloe and Kilmihil are among more than 500 students nationally and internationally to receive the institution’s Entrance Exhibition Award.
The awards go to students accepted into first year of a full-time undergraduate degree programme who have achieved the highest points among Trinity entrants from their secondary school, above a minimum of 500 CAO points.

Awardees will receive a certificate and a €150 book token from Ireland’s oldest university.
